ABOUT GREG Greg graduated from the University of Queensland Veterinary School in 2002. He spent four years at Eagle Farm Equine Hospital in Brisbane, gathering knowledge and skills in equine medicine, surgery, and racetrack practice. He then worked at the world-renowned Rossdales and Partners in Newmarket, England, for three years. Here at the thoroughbred training headquarters of Europe, Greg was involved with many of the world’s best thoroughbred trainers and horses. He was able to work with horses owned by the Queen at the Royal Stud, Sandringham, Norfolk, and was lucky enough to meet Her Majesty. On his return to Australia in 2009, he was employed by Harness Racing Queensland and Racing Queensland as a Veterinary Steward, attending predominantly harness race meetings and assisting stewards with policy and integrity matters. Greg established The Rivers Equine Vets (formally known as Baldwin Equine) in October 2012 and has built up a loyal clientele over the last few years. From humble beginnings and with the local equine community’s support, the practice now supports two associate veterinarians. We also have an excellent practise manager and reception team. When time permits, Greg enjoys working on the family farm and spending time with his wife, Kisa, a companion animal vet, and their two young daughters playing the odd round of golf and catching a wave or two. Greg is passionate about all aspects of equine practice and strives to provide the best possible care for all clients.
